After a long spell of the 90’s recessionary blues felt by many in Greater Toronto, Torontonians reached a level of confidence with the economy. A flurry of spending ensued in the years to follow for dining, entertainment, fashion, and travel.
Situated at a Toronto landmark place, jazz is no stranger to this location. More than thirty years ago, as an internationally acclaimed jazz cafe in the 1980’s, this venue has been home to hundreds of world-class jazz performers.
Many years later, new owners established the Reservoir Lounge where they gave re-birth to a style of music – swing jazz, which was gaining popularity again swiftly across North America.
The rebirth of Swing Jazz had hit Toronto by storm with the Reservoir Lounge as the host venue.
